Today’s Message

When God Feels Silent

The Fouth Of The Seven Last Words of Jesus on the Cross

“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” — Matthew 27:46

This is one of the most raw and real moments of the cross. Jesus expresses pain, abandonment, and deep anguish. Yet even here, He is quoting Scripture, anchoring Himself in truth.

We’ve all had moments where God feels distant—when prayers seem unanswered and silence feels overwhelming. But this word reminds us: feeling forsaken is not the same as being forsaken. God is still present, even in the silence.

Jesus entered into our deepest human struggle so we would know we are never alone. Your doubt, your grief, your questions—God can handle them all.

This is not the end of the story. Friday’s pain leads to Sunday’s victory. Hold on. Trust God in the silence. Your breakthrough is coming.

Reflection: Where do you need to trust God, even when you don’t feel His presence?

Living The Word Moment

The Hand That Chose the Nails

IJesus could have stopped it. With a flex of His bicep, He could have resisted. These were the hands that calmed storms and raised the dead. But He saw something that made Him stay—He saw your name on that list of sins requiring payment. He saw the price (death) and the prize (you) and chose the nails. John records Jesus saying, "No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of my own accord." The Roman soldier didn't drive those nails; Jesus did. He was both carpenter and sacrifice, knowing exactly what it took and what it meant. Today, let this truth overwhelm you: Jesus chose you over His own comfort, His own life. How will you respond to such love? The doors of heaven stand open because His hands remained open.

The Journey of Reconciliation

The Via Dolorosa—the Way of Sorrows—didn't begin in Jerusalem's streets but in heaven's throne room. God initiated the journey to reconcile us to Himself. Paul declares that God was in Christ, reconciling the world. This wasn't Plan B; it was always the plan. Reconciliation means "to render something otherwise"—to restore what was broken, to bring home what was lost. Today, consider how far God traveled to reach you. He left heaven's glory to walk dusty roads, endure mockery, and embrace death. What relationship in your life needs reconciliation? If God went this far for you, what journey of humility might He be calling you to make toward another?

The List of Our Failures

Imagine God making a list of your flaws—every jealous thought, every harsh word, every secret sin. That list exists. But here's the miracle: you'll never see it because it's been nailed to the cross, covered by Christ's blood. Paul writes that God "canceled the record that contained the charges against us." The Greek word means utterly obliterated. Between Jesus' hand and the wood was your itemized catalog of failures. His sacrifice didn't minimize your sins; it completely erased them. Today, stop rehearsing your past mistakes. God isn't keeping score anymore. The list that once condemned you now testifies to His grace. Live in the freedom of knowing your sins are hidden beneath the blood..

From Enemies to Children Of God

"Enemies of God"—harsh words that describe our condition before Christ. We weren't just lost; we actively opposed Him, choosing our way over His, hurting His children, supporting His adversary's work. Yet Romans declares that while we were still enemies, Christ died for us. This is love beyond comprehension. He didn't wait for us to clean up, apologize, or prove ourselves worthy. He pursued us in our rebellion. Today, reflect honestly: have you treated God as an enemy in some area of your life? Have you knowingly chosen against His will? Now receive this truth: even then, especially then, He chose the nails for you. His love isn't earned by your goodness but demonstrated despite your rebellion.
